A partial closedown sequence from BBC One Northern Ireland, believed to be from 1984.
Notice that lots of extra little islands pop up on certain sections of the globe. This was usually caused by dust/dirt.
Unlike network, where it was standard practice for the National Anthem to be cued over the clock, 3 or 4 seconds before mixing/cutting to the globe, BBC Northern Ireland announcer/directors generally favoured fading to black after the globe, and then cuing the National Anthem, before fading up the globe a second or two later.
