BBC Scotland returned to using ‘BBC 1 Scotland’ branding on screen and verbally, when the new-look presentation package went live the previous Monday.
Presentation elements were generally in line with the graphics used on network. But there were a couple of exceptions where the clock was concerned:
- They chose to colour the central dot on the clock blue, rather than having it black. Wales also opted to have the dot in blue.
- Instead of using the ‘BBC 1 Scotland’ logo generated by the clock kit, which had aliasing issues, BBC Scotland installed split-screen equipment, to allow the better quality ‘BBC 1 Scotland’ lettering from the globe to be used on the clock output.
