[00:00:00] TELETEXT IN-VISION: a selection of financial pages from Aertel was shown at lunchtime on RTÉ One between the end of the 1pm news and the next programme.
This was not the same Level 2 decoder that had been used since the mid-1980s on RTÉ 2/RTÉ Network 2. And this decoder had a specially configured header row, with the time being displayed in HH:MM format, with a flashing colon.
Another difference between the decoders on the two channels is that this one doesn’t have a scrolling page transition – it “cuts” between the pages.
As far as we’re aware, this decoder only ever appeared on RTÉ One. And by the time Pages from Aertel was being shown overnight on RTÉ One – from c. 1996 – a different decoder was being used.
