The BBC News at Ten is struck down by technical problems, when the programme’s playout and graphics systems crash moments before going on air. The programme was still put to air on the BBC News Channel and BBC One, with presenter Huw Edwards left sitting at the main presenting desk, in silence.

BBC One quickly switched to a programme menu and then apology caption. Huw was left on air on the BBC News Channel for the duration of the fault. The programme got under way after 4 minutes. Huw apologised for the technical problems just before he linked into the first story.
