[00:00:00] PROGRAMME: edits from Wogan’s Guide to the BBC.
We see various exterior and interior shots of BBC Broadcasting House, London.
The front of house manager, Phil Scott, tells us an anecdote about the statue of Prospero and Ariel and Lord Reith’s encounter with it the day before it was unveiled.
We briefly go behind-the-scenes at Terry Wogan’s Radio 2 show before Terry regales us with stories about what goes on on the roof of BBC Broadcasting House.
Terry takes us on a brief tour of the basement of Broadcast House.
It’s across to BBC Television Centre next, and we go behind-the-scenes with Jack Scott in the BBC Weather studio.
We then jump to the end of the programme, where we see more shots of the interior and exterior of BBC Broadcasting House. And briefly see director-general Alasdair Milne.
Terry closes the programme alongside a display model of the BBC One ident of the time (not an accurate representation of the actual mechanical model used by BBC Presentation).
