In Loving Memory was a sitcom produced by Yorkshire Television. It starred Thora Hird and Christopher Beeny.
Hird played Ivy Unsworth, the widow of a funeral director. Her husband died in the first episode. She and her equally accident-prone nephew Billy (Beeny) are left to run the business – Unsworth and Co.
The series ran on the ITV network from 1979 until 1986. The pilot aired in 1969 and was produced by Thames, who later rejected the show. Yorkshire TV picked up the format ten years later.

[00:00:02] PROGRAMME: the clip features elements from episode 2 of series 1.
The live-action visuals featured in the titles varied from episode to episode.
When we head into the commercial break, look out for the large painted canvass (supposed to provide a convincing view of other buildings outside) flopping about.
The theme tune was Comedy Close Up No. 2, by Herbert Chappell.
