On 1st September 1989, ITV introduced a new national identity designed by English Markell Pockett. This break bumper was part of the new on-screen presentation package.
[00:00:00] BREAK BUMPER: the initial image is the Yorkshire-branded triangle from the stylised ‘V’ in the Yorkshire TV version of the new ITV logo. We say Yorkshire-branded, but it’s not really that obvious. Which is perhaps why they chose to alter their version of the ITV logo in 1990.
Anyone out there know what the imagery is that appears briefly during the sweep animation?.
