I lost home access to the FT’s full digital archive when Westminster library cancelled it eight years ago, and this period is missing from Infotrac Newsbank’s capture of the paper, but from the reporting of the same stories in other newspapers on this day it is obvious that the front page in this advert is from Wednesday 9th July 1986.
