[00:00:00] TEST CARD: someone in pres had a bit too much time on their hands here. Not only do we have ‘Merry Christmas’ text added to the image but the picture in the centre has been reversed.
The ‘BBC 1’ logo is also in the wrong font.
The abrupt fade to lack at [00:00:24] seems unusual.
[00:00:34] IDENT: some timing and vision mixing issues to start the day. The VT clock for the first Now It’s Christmas link appears very briefly before the ident. The ident link itself gets cut off slightly prematurely.
We wonder if there were many years where Richard Straker didn’t have a continuity shift on Christmas Day?
[00:00:43] PROGRAMME: the festive opening titles for Now It’s Christmas and the opening of the programme, presented by Andy Crane and Simon Parkin.
