Video content

[00:00:00] PROGRAMME PROMOTION: the BBC’s big movie for Boxing Day – Gone with the Wind (although part 2 would be shown the next evening).

Possibly the most famous film ever made. Starring Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh and Leslie Howard.

This is the film’s first showing on British television.

Part 1 aired on Boxing Day at 8.15pm on BBC One.

[00:00:42] PROGRAMME GRAPHIC: festive cross-channel promotion graphic for The Belstone Fox, the film over on BBC Two. The story of a remarkable orphan fox-cub. Starring Eric Porter and Rachel Roberts.

[00:00:52] IDENT: a live Christmas Eve edition of Top of the Pops on BBC One now, with David Jenson.

Pink lighting used on the festive BBC One globes here. They were normally under white light – in most of the junctions that we’ve seen at any rate.
