[00:00:00] IDENT: after the usual airing of Play School at 11am, BBC Two closed down for two-and-a-half hours, before returning at 2pm with the rest of the day’s programmes.
For those surprised to see the standard BBC Two ident greeting them at 2pm on Christmas Eve, it rather quickly gave way to the channel’s Christmas symbol.
Although our recording of the start-up isn’t complete, we can tell you that announcer Bruce Hammal walked through the programme menu and then played a little Christmas music.
