[00:00:00] TEST CARD: the test card counts down to the resumption of programmes.
Can you identify the test card tape and tracks playing here?
We have the usual 30-second gap of black and silence between the test card and the appearance of the BBC One symbol.
[00:02:35] IDENT: the ’60 Years’-branded version of the BBC One symbol.
[00:02:39] PROGRAMME MENU GRAPHIC: the announcer tells us that in a couple of minutes, they’ll be showing one of the interlude films from BBC TV’s bygone days. This one is titled Roadworks (first shown in the early 1960s).
To take us there, an early example of the music produced by the BBC’s Radiophonic Workshop.
Unfortunately, we only have the first seconds of this, before the recording ends.
