A YTV start-up from the early 1970s.

[00:00:00] START-UP: the one-minute sequence begins with YTV’s first colour ident, with a verbal announcement from Redvers Kyle: “This is Yorkshire Television – in colour.”

There then follows a selection of behind-the-scenes images from the YTV operation. These images are accompanied by The Yorkshire Television March, by Ron Goodwin.

We believe this start-up came into use in November 1969, when YTV started a colour service. However, we’re not sure when this sequence was last aired.
