[00:00:00] START-UP: we start with an Independent Broadcasting Authority/Yorkshire Television-branded slide, showing the franchisee’s broadcast area. It’s accompanied by a thirty-second variation of The Yorkshire Television March, by Ron Goodwin
Thirty seconds in, a pre-recorded announcement by Redvers Kyle: “This is Yorkshire Television – broadcasting from the Emley Moor, Belmont and associated transmitters of the Independent Broadcasting Authority.”
The slide showing the YTV coverage area remains in place for the first three-and-half minutes of the routine. After the announcement by Redvers, The Yorkshire Television March starts and plays out in full.
At three minutes thirty seconds, the we cut to a slide version of the Yorkshire TV ident. The music continues.
At four minutes twenty seconds, we fade to black and the clock is immediately faded up, with fifteen seconds to go before the first programme at 8.30am.
