[00:00:00] PROGRAMME PROMOTION: a trail promoting the Christmas schedule on Network 2.

The trail is produced in the style of one of those 70s/80s ads selling music cassettes/albums that “aren’t available in the shops”.

[00:01:00] IN-VISION CONTINUITY: the CSO set-up seen here uses one of two animated backdrops for in-vision links. The animation had a green and a blue version.

Here announcer Corina Grant tells us about two programmes coming up later – Trial and Retribution and Wanderlust – before linking into the next programme, The Blizzard of Odd.

Tonight’s programme has an 80s theme – and appropriately enough, starts with a mid-1980s RTÉ 2 ident.

We then see part of the opening introduction by presenter Colin Murphy.
