  • The vacuum cleaner maker Dyson Appliances has won its High Court battle to prove that its rival Hoover had infringed its patent on vacuum cleaners without bags.
  • 4 million endowment mortgage payers may face shortfalls if plans for a review are dropped. Andrew Verity reports.
  • Tens of millions of Americans will tune into a TV show tonight which could decide the outcome of the US Presidential Election. Al Gore and George W. Bush are the latest presidential hopefuls to take part in live TV debates. Philippa Thomas reports.
  • The England coach Kevin Keegan says he’s not afraid to give youth a chance when his side play Germany in their opening World Cup qualifier this weekend. It’ll be the last competitive game at Wembley before the old stadium is demolished. Kevin Gearey reports.
