[00:00:05] PROGRAMME: the first seven minutes of the BBC News at Ten, presented by Sarah Montague.
Most of the programme was given over to reporting on the bomb explosion outside BBC Television Centre in London.
The programme was presented from a section of the BBC Breakfast studio (which utilised green screen).
Crime correspondent, Stephen Cape, produced the main package covering the story.
Home affairs correspondent Margaret Gilmore provides insights into why the BBC would potentially be targeted.
Ireland correspondent, David Eades, provides some analysis about the group thought to be behind the bomb, the Real IRA and what the impact of this incident might be on the peace process.
