Video content
[00:00:00] PROGRAMME GRAPHIC: the graphic that was used to punctuate commercial breaks during the film, The Bishop’s Wife.
[00:00:02] PROGRAMME: the final minute-and-a-half of the late film, The Bishop’s Wife.
[00:01:40] PROGRAMME GRAPHIC: standard Channel 4 slide design – for Samuel Goldwyn Presents: Wonder Man.
This is the film next Sunday night – airing from 10.20pm.
[00:01:59] IN-VISION CONTINUITY: announcer Keith Harrison quickly previews a programme tomorrow evening on Channel 4 at 8pm: The Englishman…the Irishman and the Motor Race.
And then a little fun at closedown. In a nod to the angel from the late film, Keith clicks his fingers and disappears.
[00:02:30] IDENT: one of the standard Channel 4 idents is played out.
Our clip ends at this point. If the recording continued, we’d likely have had a minute or more of black and silence before the ETP-1 test card appeared, accompanied by tone.
After a further ten minutes or so, the overnight shutdown of the transmitter network would’ve been triggered.
