The announcer (Reg Sanders) then tells us that we’re about to be treated to the full, unexpurgated version of the Christmas BBC Two symbol.
Reg was the first BBC Two announcer to regularly play out announcerless idents at closedown on BBC Two. He began doing this in 1993. It would be 1995 before it became standard practice on the channel.
[00:02:50] IDENT: as promised, an announcerless playout of the long version of the Christmas BBC Two symbol. This would be the final airing of the Christmas ident on BBC Two for 1993.
