The short season of American detective stories continues tomorrow night at 12.30am.

[00:00:43] PROGRAMME PROMOTION: for Assignment.

The programme airs tomorrow at 7.45pm on BBC Two.

[00:01:21] CLOCK: with a reminder about the overnight services on offer on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2, it’s goodnight from BBC Two.

No announcerless ident after the clock tonight. Announcer Reg Sanders would soon begin playing an ident at closedown on a regular basis – there had been some examples of this the previous year.

Curiously, the previous evening, Reg used an ident instead of the clock at closedown.
