[00:00:22] IDENT: the standard RTÉ Network 2 ident is used to link into RTÉ Nuacht.
For Irish-language programmes, a special version of the ident was generally used – where the ‘NETWORK’ lettering was faded out, shortly after the ‘2’ logo appeared.
However, the Network 2 ident was recreated and the new version aired from September 1994 – with a more accurate ‘2’ logo. We’re not sure if a version was produced to link into Irish-language programmes.
[00:00:32] PROGRAMME: the first few minutes of RTÉ Nuacht – short Irish-language news programme shown on Network 2.
The opening title sequence shown here was used in the first days of the new look. It was then trimmed to start at [00:00:44].
