Video content
[00:00:00] PROGRAMME GRAPHIC: standard BBC Two slide for The Fisher King.
Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges star. The film starts shortly on BBC Two. Viewers in Northern Ireland can see it at 11.30pm.
[00:00:12] PROGRAMME PROMOTION: for The Frank Skinner Show.
The programme airs in 15 minutes.
[00:00:38] CLOCK: the standard BBC One clock is used to link into the news.
[00:00:42] PROGRAMME: the opening headlines and titles for the main Sunday evening news, with Michael Buerk.
We’ve included the full edition, providing examples of studio presentation, inset graphics and lower-third graphics.
This edition includes reports from: Ben Brown; David Robertson; Kevin Gearey; Duncan Kennedy; Nigel Gainsborough.
[00:13:34] PROGRAMME: Ian McCaskill presents a national BBC Weather bulletin.
You’ll notice that Ian gets cut off a little prematurely. It’s not clear if Ian uncharacteristically overran or if NC1 got their timings wrong. Our money is on the latter.
The new automated Network Control areas went live a few months earlier and, in the junction that followed this weather bulletin, we’re almost certain Ian’s voice can be heard during the second trail (follow the link below to view that junction) – suggesting his microphone was somehow put live.
So, it looks like there were some gremlins at work here.
