This evening’s episode was shown as a tribute to John Le Mesurier, who died earlier in the month.

[00:01:36] GRAPHIC: a generic BBC Radio 2 slide (noting Medium Wave and VHF), used here to trail the comedy series It Sticks Out Half a Mile – which featured John Le Mesurier – which airs on Sundays at 1.30pm and Fridays at 10pm.

[00:01:50] PROGRAMME PROMOTION: for a special 20th anniversary edition of Doctor Who: The Five Doctors.

The 90-minute special airs on Friday at 7.20pm on BBC One.

[00:02:31] IDENT: the standard BBC One globe symbol (albeit with “Ceefax 170” indicator) is used for a quick link into Last of the Summer Wine.

[00:02:37] PROGRAMME: the full opening titles for Last of the Summer Wine (a 1982 episode: The Waist Land), followed by a portion of the opening scene.
