Video content

[00:00:00] PROGRAMME: the final seconds of the late film, FM.

[00:00:22] PROGRAMME GRAPHIC: standard BBC One slide design – for Days of Glory.

The film, starring Gregory Peck, airs tomorrow at 3.45pm on BBC One.

[00:00:38] PROGRAMME GRAPHIC: standard BBC Two cross-channel promotion slide design – for World Snooker.

[00:00:44] GRAPHIC: a look at the national weather for tomorrow. The forecast is read by the announcer, with supporting on-screen graphics.

[00:01:10] INFORMATION GRAPHIC: a Special Transmitter Announcement for viewers in the south east of England served by the Crystal Palace transmitter.

This transmitter will be operating on reduced power for the next couple of weeks, starting on Monday. This is to facilitate essential maintenance.

Consequently some viewers may notice poorer picture quality.

More details are available on Ceefax page 195.

[00:01:32] GRAPHIC: generic slide to promote BBC Radio 4 programmes. In this case the slide is used to promote It’s Your World, airing at 12.10pm tomorrow on BBC Radio 4.

[00:01:54] CLOCK: at twenty-eight minutes to 1am, it’s goodnight from BBC One.

This is one of those relatively rare occasions where announcer Andy Cartledge signs off as “Andrew Cartledge”.

[00:02:14] IDENT: the standard BBC One globe symbol is accompanied by the National Anthem.

After thirty seconds of black and silence, test tone kicks in. Test tone would typically run for ten minutes. The overnight shutdown of the transmitter network would then be triggered.

Our clip only includes the first few minutes of test tone.
