BBC Two goes to bed a little earlier than planned due to an industrial dispute.

Each volume contains the full text of the relevant play, as well as notes and illustrations from the TV productions.

[00:00:28] PROGRAMME PROMOTION: an opportunity to see BBC Two’s Christmas promotion graphics for 1978.
The promotion is for a Christmas “festival of music” on BBC Two: the fairy tail opera, Hansel and Gretel; a special concert featuring The Magic Flute of James Galway; Petticoat Lane – a musical impression of life in the streets of Victorian London, starring Sheila Hancock; the operetta, The Count of Luxembourg.
[00:01:42] PROGRAMME GRAPHIC: a mention for Read All About It, starting over on BBC One shortly.
[00:02:05] IDENT: the announcer informs us that due to industrial action over the Government pay policy, they are unable to show the scheduled programme, Film of the Week.
So, BBC Two will be closing down early.
[00:02:20] GRAPHIC: but first, a check on the weather for tonight and tomorrow.
Quite a few buttons being pressed initially – presumably setting up the Noddy camera for the clock.
[00:02:57] CLOCK: a mention for programmes on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 3. But at seven minutes to eleven, BBC Two says goodnight.
[00:03:50] GRAPHIC: presumably for the duration of the programme that should’ve been shown, BBC Two leaves an apology caption on screen, accompanied by classical music.
