The main headline relates to the trial of Tracie Andrews, for the murder of her fiance Lee Harvey.

- A councillor is found in her garden with severe burns. Her husband – a fellow councillor – has been charged.
- The biggest junior tennis championship in Europe gets underway in the Midlands, with everybody wanting to be another Henman.
