[00:00:00] PROGRAMME PROMOTION: for Our House.
The presenter is Duncan Stewart. The programme airs Friday at 8pm on RTÉ One.
[00:00:32] CLOCK: where time permitted, the announcer would verbally promote programmes later in the evening. Where time was short, the clock ticked away in silence. The clock was always used to transition into The Angelus. But the announcer did not reference The Angelus.
[00:00:39] PROGRAMME: for many years, The Angelus was observed via a still of a religious image. The same recording of the bells was used for as long as we can remember. Was it the same recording since day one? If you know, please drop us a line.
[00:01:48] IDENT: the standard RTÉ One ident is used to link into RTÉ Six-One News.
[00:02:00] PROGRAMME: we see the opening headlines and opening titles. This is followed by a link into the lead story and a full report on the lead story by Brendan Wright, which includes lower-third examples.
It should be noted that this programme is still in “summer mode” at this point – so it was down to a thirty minute slot (rather than its usual hour) and had one presenter (in this case, Eileen Dunne) rather than two. The usual presenters during the remainder of the year were Anne Doyle and Eamonn Lawlor.
