The special night of programmes begins on New Year’s Day at 6pm on BBC Two.

[00:00:44] PROGRAMME GRAPHIC: standard BBC One slide design for Molly’s Zoo at Christmas.

The programme starts on BBC One shortly.

[00:00:51] IDENT: one of the standard BBC Two idents – Water – is used to link into The Boat.

[00:01:01] PROGRAMME: the opening minute or so of the u-boat drama, The Boat.

Sounds like BBC network announcer Peter Brook providing the opening narration.
