[00:00:00] SERVICE PROMOTION: for Teilifís na Gaeilge, using the slogan Because We’re Different.

[00:00:20] PROGRAMME: a Nuacht RTÉ bulletin presented by Sharon Ní Bheoláin.

These bulletins were based in a small CSO set-up in the Presentation department.

On this occasion, the kit that provided the background imagery (likely to have been laserdisc) went somewhat off course. We see various other images, including one of the standard Network 2 idents and a festive programme menu graphic.

The picture/audio disturbance was due to severe weather conditions affecting Ireland at the time. Winds in excess of 100mph were causing problems for the transmitter network.

The film airs on Sunday at 10.55pm on RTÉ Network 2.

[00:03:01] IDENT: RTÉ Network 2’s Christmas ident is used to link into an episode of Glenroe.
