Presenters: Michael Parkinson, Gaby Roslin and Sir David Attenborough.

Our clip also includes:

[00:00:35] BBC News with Michael Buerk. An edited version of the bulletin. There was a technical glitch at the end of the opening titles.

Our clip includes a package by Allan Little, Moscow correspondent and the opening seconds of a package by Adam Brookes.

[00:03:51] BBC Newsline with Rose Neill. BBC Northern Ireland opted out slightly early. If you listen carefully, you can just about hear the 2000 Today director cuing the closing titles for the national news. And indeed, they appear very briefly before BBC Newsline cuts in.

The programme includes a package by Rosy Billingham.

[00:07:58] PROGRAMME PROMOTION: for The Mrs Bradley Mysteries.

The drama begins on 16th January on BBC One.

The picture glitch at [00:08:11] is the BBC Northern Ireland continuity desk being taken out of circuit.

[00:08:28] PROGRAMME: back to the 2000 Today studio for the national weather, presented by David Braine.

[00:09:44] IDENT: BBC One’s newest regular balloon ident – Millennium Dome – makes its debut today, albeit with a 2000 Today-specific soundtrack on this outing.

[00:09:55] PROGRAMME: Michael Parkinson introduces the next segment of the 2000 Today programme, presented by Sir David Attenborough.
